from $11.50

Taste: Violet, Honeycrisp, Boysenberry

Origin: Ethiopia

Producer: Hirut & Mahder Berhanu

Process: Natural

Region: Yirgacheffe

Variety: Heirloom

This beautiful coffee is produced by a pair of sisters, Hirut (Betty) and Mahder Berhanu. Over their many years of experience in coffee production, these sisters have become pillars of the Dumerso community and have recently overseen the construction of a health clinic and daycare to better support the people of this region. We are proud beyond words to share their coffee with you and to support the producers of the distinguished Dumerso community.

In the cup, we are discovering the juicy sweetness of honeycrisp apple that is grounded by the rustic sweetness of boysenberry pie. Throughout, creamy violet florals offer a subtle aromatic unity that is sure to please fans of Ethiopian coffees. This will be our second season of sourcing Dumerso, and we look forward to spending the winter delving deep into these elegant beans.

TODOS SANTOS
from $11.50

Taste: Toffee, Dark Plum, Waffle Cone

Origin: Guatemala

Region: Huehuetenango

Process: Washed

Variety: Caturra, Bourbon

Todos Santos is a culmination of coffee from ten smallholder producers who reside within the Todos Santos Cuchumatán municipality. Their cultural farming practices involve the creation of fertilizers from leaves of the local horsetail plant and decomposed coffee pulp. In this way, the farmers are able to return microorganisms and nutrients from their land into their soil.

When brewed, this community lot displays many of the timeless characteristics of the Huehuetenango region. In the cup, we adore the richness of toffee and sugary waffle cone which are supported by the balanced acidity of a dark plum. Todos Santos is equal parts intriguing and familiar – truly a bean for the people.
