Questions

  • We have no problem grinding coffee for you. Please send us a message saying how you’d like your beans to be ground and we will do our best to get it just right.

  • We recommend our blend, Top Hat, for making espresso. You can use our single origin coffees as well, but they might be a little bit more difficult because they are lighter in roast.

  • All of our single origin coffees are roasted on the lighter spectrum. Top Hat is a medium roast and Squid Ink is our dark offering.

  • All of our offerings are not certified Organic. We strive to purchase coffees that are organically grown by farmers who really care.

If you have any questions about a specific coffee then please reach out and we’ll tell you it’s whole story.

  • The life span of coffee is complex. Right after roasting it has a lot of carbon dioxide built up. Over time as the gas is released you will experience a change in the way the coffee tastes. The aging process for each coffee is a little bit different, but in general a coffee is best explored over the course of a month. Keep your coffee in an airtight container or bag that’s well sealed in a cool dark place.

  • Acidity refers to the liveliness you experience in coffee, typically on the sides of your tongue. Coffee naturally has acids that lend to this. Through roasting we are able to shape the acidity to taste balanced and to ultimately add a sense of structure to the way your palate perceives a coffee.

  • We offer decaf espresso in our coffee shop. For that reason we are able to sell this to you as well. Please send us a message with how much you’d like to order and we’ll get some decaf to your door.

  • We would love to hear it. Contact us and we’ll get back to you in a reasonable time.
