ARROCERA NATURAL
from $11.50

Taste: Candy Apple, Cocoa, Cherry Mousse

Origin: Mexico

Region: Nayarit

Process: Natural

Variety: Sarchimor, Typica, Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra

Arrocera refers to the local wet mill used by producers of the La Yerba community for their naturally processed coffees. In the past, coffees from La Yerba have always been well-loved by our customers, so this harvest was an easy inclusion in our summer menu.

Taste-wise, so many of our favorite cup characteristics are present. The satisfying richness of a cocoa powder truffle is accented by the pleasing sugariness of a candy apple, while a red berry tone like cherry mousse brings a fruity unification. To those who seek the classic flavors of a natural Mexico, look no further!

FLOR DE CAFÉ
from $11.75

Taste: Waffle Cone, Cookie Dough, Rocky Road

Origin: Guatemala

Region: Chanjón

Process: Washed

Producers: Santos Perez, Marcelo Perez, Agusto Perez, Carmelina Matias, Cristina Perez, Lazara Perez, Benito Perez, Agapito Herminio, Filomeno Jeronimo, and Josefa Jeronimo.

Flor de Cafe is a community lot consisting of contributions from ten smallholder producers. Its name comes from the Coopeflor cooperative, a collective of indigenous Mam Mayan farmers located in the township of Chanjon. Over the years, this coffee has been a recurring staple in our line up, and we are excited to once again have Flor de Cafe in the roastery.

This season, we are discovering many of the familiar flavors that we have come to associate with this blend. A baseline sweetness reminiscent of waffle cones and cookie dough serves as a consistent presence, accented by creamy cocoa tones like rocky road ice cream. Multipurpose and consistent, Flor de Cafe is easy to enjoy.

CATI SIMÓN
from $11.50

Taste: White Peach, Cobbler, Clover Honey

Origin: Peru

Region: San Martín

Process: Washed

Variety: Bourbon, Red Caturra, Pache

As a well connected figure in the Peruvian coffee scene, it was only a matter of time before producer Cati Simon took on a farm of her own. On her lush property, dubbed “Finca Black Coffee” after her beloved Black Lab, she grows Bourbon, Red Caturra, and Pache varieties just a hillside away from another one of our favorite farms, Finca La Encanada. We are excited to support Cati in her continued mission to share beautiful Peruvian coffee with the world.

In the cup, we are greatly pleased by this coffee’s silky texture and inviting subtle structure. Ripe white peach runs throughout, backed by the golden brown tones of a fruit cobbler, all accented with the mellow sweetness of clover honey. Multifaceted and agreeable, these beans brew beautifully through many methods. Bring forward richness with a French press, or embrace layered texture with a pour over — Cati’s coffee meets you where you’re at.
