Hateso is a brand new offering for us this year. Long have we awaited a natural Ethiopian coffee to round out our winter menu, and this origin has been well worth the wait.
This coffee comes to us from the lush Guji growing region of southern Ethiopia. Here, coffee grows plentifully alongside bananas and mangos. The Guji Zone is well known for producing coffees with complex floral and fruity aromatics, as well as pleasing sparkling acidities.
As we continue to explore the flavors present in this harvest, we are overjoyed to discover such a wonderfully balanced natural. Notes of blackberry compote, fruit tart, and pastry permeate the tasting experience, all accented by a lifting winey complexity. We have enjoyed this origin with a multitude of brew methods.
