Costa Rica Santa Lucia

from 7.50

Santa Lucia is a balanced anytime of day drinker. We like this coffee because it tastes like cocoa and graham cracker with hints of honey. Need we say more?

Well, it's also from a really awesome mill in Costa Rica named Helsar. It's run by Ricardo Perez, who along with his two brothers, each manage a farm and operations at Helsar mill. Santa Lucia's coffee quality is due in part to the excellent processing methods at this mill. As for the farm, Santa Lucia is planted in Villalobos, a dwarf mutation of Typica, and they only use organic farm practices. Santa Lucia was certified organic until last year, when they decided to forego the certification due to cost and bureaucracy.

Throughout our time spent roasting and brewing this coffee we've discovered so much complexity and subtle flavors are to be extracted if you're willing to test the boundaries. Join us in drinking this one!
